- We are experiencing problems with recognition of touch tone (DTMF)
- signals by our computer or modem. Does anyone know whether it is the
- modem, another part of the computer or specific software that
- distinguishes the codes when they are used to tranmit information in an
- application. We are experiencing similar problems with both Compaq
- software and Microsoft software in a Compaq computer. The modem has
- been replaced with no success. The computer recognizes signals from
- some phones. However, it has problems with at least some keys from most
- phones. We have verified that the DTMF tones produced by the phones are
- within the frequency tolerances and they work well with the telco
- equipment.
