  15. We are experiencing problems with recognition of touch tone (DTMF) 
  16. signals by our computer or modem.  Does anyone know whether it is the 
  17. modem, another part of the computer or specific software that 
  18. distinguishes the codes when they are used to tranmit information in an 
  19. application.  We are experiencing similar problems with both Compaq 
  20. software and Microsoft software in a Compaq computer.  The modem has 
  21. been replaced with no success.  The computer recognizes signals from 
  22. some phones.  However, it has problems with at least some keys from most 
  23. phones.  We have verified that the DTMF tones produced by the phones are 
  24. within the frequency tolerances and they work well with the telco 
  25. equipment.
